Quickstart: Complete the Configuration Checklist
The Quickstart Checklist in your portal walks you through six quick steps to set up your portal, see it working, and start onboarding partners. Check them off as you go — the first few are fast wins so you can watch your program come to life before tackling the deeper configuration.
Before You Begin
Section titled “Before You Begin”- You must be a Portal Owner to complete the setup steps.
- Complete Step 1 before processing any payments — the currency setting locks permanently after the first payment is processed.
The Checklist
Section titled “The Checklist”| Step | What you’ll do |
|---|---|
| 1. Set your currency | Lock in the currency for all commissions and payouts |
| 2. Customize logo and colors | Make the portal look like your brand |
| 3. Add a test partner | See your portal the way a partner does |
| 4. Add a test lead | Watch a lead move through your pipeline |
| 5. Add your team | Give teammates admin access |
| 6. Connect your CRM | Sync partner leads and revenue automatically |
1. Set Your Currency
Section titled “1. Set Your Currency”Your program currency applies to all commission calculations and partner payouts.
2. Add Your Logo and Customize Colors
Section titled “2. Add Your Logo and Customize Colors”Make your portal reflect your brand — this is the first thing partners see, and it takes only a minute.
You can configure:
- Primary color — used in the sidebar, sign-in page, and links
- Status colors — for lead and opportunity status indicators
- Logo — two versions required: one on a white background, one on your primary color
- Favicon
A live preview updates as you make changes. All image uploads must be in .png format.

3. Add a Test Partner
Section titled “3. Add a Test Partner”The fastest way to understand your portal is to experience it the way a partner will. Add a test partner so you can log in as them, look around, and see exactly what your partners see.
You can remove the test partner later, or keep it as a sandbox for trying things out.
4. Add a Test Lead
Section titled “4. Add a Test Lead”Now register a test lead and watch it flow through your pipeline. This shows you how lead submission, phases, and notifications work end to end — and confirms everything is wired up before real partners start sending deals.
5. Add Your Team
Section titled “5. Add Your Team”If others on your team need access to the admin side of the portal, invite them from Account & Settings → Team.
- Only Portal Owners can add team members.
- You can assign each person a role to control their level of access and visibility.
6. Connect Your CRM
Section titled “6. Connect Your CRM”Connecting your CRM lets you sync partner-referred leads directly into your pipeline and automate revenue tracking for commission calculations. This is the most involved step, so save it for once the basics are in place.
- Supported CRM integrations: HubSpot · Salesforce · Pipedrive · Zoho
- Accounting integration: QuickBooks — for automated revenue import
Recommended Next Steps
Section titled “Recommended Next Steps”With the checklist done and your portal working, here’s how to shape the program before you invite real partners.
Configure your program settings and terms
Section titled “Configure your program settings and terms”Program settings let you describe your program, define your commission structure, and set up partner tiers based on revenue performance. You can mark these details as public so prospective partners see them on your sign-in page before registering.
Program terms are optional. If your program requires partners to agree to terms at registration, upload them under Partner Program → Program Terms. Note that the same terms apply to all partners — they cannot be customized per partner.
